On Tuesday, March 29th, FACES for the Future Coalition staff members and alumni students joined in on GoJoven International’s 10th Anniversary event at the Washington Inn in Oakland, CA.
The event opened with a Youth Leadership symposium which featured a panel of youth advocates on the topic of “Innovations in Youth Leadership in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights”. Following the symposium was a”World Café” session which brought event participants into smaller discussion groups with questions regarding the same topic. The event ended with a reception in celebration of GoJoven International’s 10 year anniversary of success in building youth leaders in Mexico and Central America.
We are grateful to have had our FACES Alumnus Victor Ramos as part of the symposium panel and FACES Alumna Jessi Abella and current FACES Hayward student Ahlam Mohammed as co-facilitators of a discussion group in the World Café session. Thank you to GoJoven International for inviting us to this very informative, empowering and enriching event regarding Youth Leadership. Happy 10th anniversary and best wishes for much more success!
