Luis Angel Pelayo, Class of 2008

10417661_686265558089675_8663351648305668642_nLuis Angel Pelayo, FACES Class of 2008, graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Environmental Science, and then completed a Master of Education in Secondary Science at the UCLA Graduate School of Education’s IMPACT Program. UCLA IMPACT is an innovative teacher education program developed in partnership with UCLA Center X TEP, the Los Angeles Unified School District, and the Los Angeles Small Schools Center. With the goal of preparing highly qualified community teachers and urban school teacher leaders, IMPACT is committed to working in Los Angeles in the high-need subject areas of math, science and early childhood education. Luis currently works as a science teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
