Janderra Landry, FACES Oakland Class of 2004, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. Janderra then began a Master of Social Work (MSW) program through Welden University.
“I have obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Psychology. My goal is to get my BACB to become a Clinical Director to continue to work with autistic children and youth. I am currently a Behavioral therapist, working with Autistic children and youth.
After finishing the FACES program, I knew I wanted to go into counseling, providing individuals and families with the psychosocial support they need to cope with chronic, terminal illnesses and other traumatic life events. This is why I decided to become a medical social worker. The FACES program has truly helped me find my purpose in life. I always knew I wanted to help others especially children with special needs. I would like to thank all the FACES faculty for helping me find my way, and making me the person I am today. In the near future, I would like to go back to school and get my PhD in Psychology. “
