Anne Nguyen graduated from FACES San Diego in 2013. She is currently a fifth-year student at the California State University of San Marcos, majoring in Human Development with a minor in Communication.
“I am a first-generation college student and I remember how difficult it was to choose a college to attend. Also, I didn’t know which career field I wanted to work in. I am thankful for the grand help from the FACES program at Hoover High School, especially the volunteer hands-on experiences. I realized that my passion is working within the healthcare industry and helping people as I chose to explore my undergraduate major in Human Development. My ultimate goal is going further into healthcare education (pursuing a master’s degree or attending nursing school) after my graduation in Spring 2018. FACES gave wings to many students who lived throughout the underprivileged areas, like mine, and helped to make our dreams come true. The FACES program and my mentor, Cheri Fidler, have changed my life. I am honored to give back to the FACES San Diego program by working as their current Alumni Liaison.”
