FACES San Francisco Scholars Celebrated During Blue Coat Ceremony

Families, industry partners, educators and FACES Coalition staff gathered on March 6, 2016 to celebrate 33 new FACES Scholars from John O’Connell High School in the Mission District of San Francisco.  All students received their program blue coats in a ceremony hosted at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFGH).  Mr. Roland Pickens, Interim CEO of ZSFGH and Director of the San Francisco Health Network, served as the evening’s keynote speaker and talked about the importance of programs like FACES to build the health workforce in San Francisco.  The FACES SF Scholars will begin their internships within various agencies of the San Francisco Department of Public Health, including the General Hospital and Laguna Honda Hospital.
