Bryant Phan, FACES Oakland alum Class of 2011, graduated from Stanford University in spring 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Human Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Ethics. Bryant interned in hospitals for several years to gain additional healthcare experience. He also gained experience working with and teaching underrepresented youth both in a medical and academic setting, as well as a creative, extracurricular setting.
Bryant has won multiple poetry slam championships and awards, featured on television and news articles, and opened for artists such as Mos Def, Goapele, Talib Kweli, Beau Sia, and Saul Williams.
Back in 2011, Bryant was the featured spoken word artist in the video highlighting our original FACES program in Oakland. See Bryant and the original video. Bryant currently works as a Research Assistant and Study Site Coordinator at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics.
