Champions of Health Professions Diversity Awardees

The CA Wellness Foundation Celebrates its 2011 Champions of Health Professions Diversity Awardees.

On June 1, the California Wellness Foundation Conference on Increasing Diversity in the Health Professions took time to celebrate three inspirational education leaders, recognized for their significant contributions to diversifying the health workforce of CA. Drawing from their personal experiences, each has developed life-changing programs for underserved individuals seeking pathways into the health professions. Our FACES Coalition Director, Dr. Tomás A. Magaña, won the same award in 2009 and the FACES Coalition celebrates the work of this year’s awardees. Our heartfelt congratulations go to Charles Alexander, Ph.D., José Ramón Fernández-Peña, M.D., M.P.A., and John Matsui, Ph.D.
