Clinical Opportunities
The FACES Program strives to provide minority college
students, who have actively participated in all components of the FACES
College Program (seminar, tutoring and mentoring), with clinical job shadowing
opportunities. The goal of the FACES Program is to support all college
students of color who want to pursue a career in the health professions,
public health and/or biomedical research. Part of this process is to provide
college students with opportunities for clinical shadowing
opportunities in the hospital, community health agencies, private medical
offices and other partnering agencies which serve patients.
College students who have participated in at least one semester of the
FACES De-Cal seminar and one year of tutoring and mentoring of high school
students are eligible to apply for clinical job shadowing opportunities.
Clinical shadowing opportunities will be listed regularly and must be
applied for by completing the attached application. Positions are limited
and filled on a first come, first served basis. Permission from the Program
Director must be obtained before a clinical opportuinty is applied for.
